ALAIN LEVITT: NYC 2000-2005

Notorious for his documentation of the downtown New York City party scene of the early to mid-2000s, photographer Alain Levitt became well-known for his photos of underground artists, musicians, actors, and socialites.

Beyond the exhibition currently on display at Whaam! Gallery, “Alain Levitt: NYC 2000-2005”, published by FA Books, showcases those years in downtown New York City through Alain’s point of view.

To celebrate the book, Fucking Awesome has produced a special range of t-shirts featuring prints of Alain’s work.

“Alain Levitt: NYC 2000-2005” book and T-shirts launch Saturday May 4th at Dover Street Market New York as part of Frieze New York 2024.
